The 50-acre Brevard Zoo, which first opened in 1994 and is approximately an hour’s drive East of Orlando, boasts nearly 500 animals that represent 130 different species from Florida, Central and South America, Asia and Australia. Highlights of the Brevard Zoo include Paws On – The Animal Study Zone, Animal Encounters Petting Zoo, Wetlands Outpost and Flying Fox Forest. The Serengeti Special Events Pavilion seats up to 300 and is available for private parties, company outings and weddings. The Brevard Zoo is open daily from 10 AM through 5 PM (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas).
2008 ticket prices for the Brevard Zoo are
$11.50 for adults, $10.50 for ages 60+ and $8.50 for ages 2-12.
